Amid ongoing conflict, a Lebanese vocalist released Voices from the Ashes, an album documenting the resilience of displaced communities through Arabic maqam and electronic fusion. The lead single Rise from the Rubble became an anthem for protests, its chorus sampled from crowd chants recorded during the Beirut port explosion. The artist defied censorship by streaming the album on decentralized platforms, amassing 10 million plays in 48 hours.

The accompanying documentary Unmuted followed their clandestine performances in war-torn regions, showcasing how music became a lifeline for trauma survivors. A portion of proceeds funds underground schools teaching music to children in refugee camps. “Notes transcend borders,” the singer stated. “They remind us what we’re fighting to protect.” The project triggered debates about art’s role in wartime, with UNESCO nominating it for the Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
