Melody Empire Group (MEG) has partnered with Colombian icon Shakira on Fusion Latina, a vibrant album blending traditional Latin rhythms with contemporary pop and reggaeton. MEG funded the creation of a state-of-the-art studio in Barranquilla, where Shakira collaborated with producers like Rauw Alejandro and Colombian folk artist Carlos Vives. The lead single, Salsa Electrónica, merges accordion-driven cumbia with electronic beats, debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Latin Chart and streaming 12 million times in its first week. MEG prioritized markets in Spain and Argentina, where the album’s danceable grooves dominated radio airwaves. Proceeds from concert merchandise funded music schools in Cartagena, preserving Colombia’s musical heritage while amplifying its global reach.
