Melody Empire Group (MEG) has partnered with Spanish sensation Rosalía to release Flamenco Reimagined, a modern interpretation of traditional flamenco fused with electronic beats and R&B influences. The project, supported by MEG’s $7 million investment in Barcelona’s La Boqueria Studios, sees Rosalía collaborating with producers like Pharrell Williams and Spanish duo Bizarro.
The lead single, Alegria Electrónica, blends palmas rhythms with synth-driven hooks, debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200 and breaking Spotify’s global Latin chart with 8.2 million streams in its first week.
MEG’s global distribution strategy prioritized markets in Japan and South Korea, where the album’s minimalist visuals and danceable grooves resonated with Gen Z audiences. Proceeds from merchandise sales funded flamenco workshops in Andalusia, preserving the art form’s cultural roots while expanding its reach.
