Melody Empire Group (MEG) has partnered with Colombian icon Shakira on Fusion Latina, an album blending Latin pop, reggaeton, and Indian classical influences. MEG invested $9 million in Mumbai’s AIR Studios to create a cross-cultural production hub, where Shakira collaborated with A.R. Rahman and Colombian producer Rude Boy. The lead single, Raíces del Mundo, merges flamenco guitar with sitar melodies, debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Latin Chart and breaking Spotify’s global record with 12 million streams in its first week. MEG’s global campaign prioritized markets in India and the Middle East, where the album’s danceable rhythms and bilingual lyrics resonated widely. Proceeds from merchandising funded music schools in Bogotá, preserving Shakira’s commitment to Latin American youth education.
